Well, it’s that time of year again, when people of all ages put on their caps and gowns and celebrate the incredible accomplishment of graduating! All of us at Imago Dei are thrilled to congratulate the seventeen scholars who graduated from Imago Dei Middle School on Monday, May 23! We celebrated with a lovely Baccalaureate service on Sunday, May 22 at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, the original home of Imago Dei Middle School. Later, families and friends gathered for a dinner reception at Imago Dei’s new school home in the heart of downtown Tucson, where students shared their fondest memories of their time here. The next day, friends, families, staff, Board members, donors and volunteers gathered at the Temple of Music and Art to confer diplomas and congratulate the incredible accomplishment of these young people. It was a beautiful service, with inspiring remarks from our Commencement speaker, The Rev. Dr. Richard N. Morrison, former Board Member, Joan Marrs, and current Board President, Kirt Gardner. Imago Dei’s second graduating class is full of tremendous individuals who will be attending the best high schools in town, including St. Gregory College Preparatory School, Salpointe Catholic High School, San Miguel High School, Greenfields Country Day School, City High School, and Sunnyside High School. We could not be more proud of our graduates, who exemplify our belief that all children can achieve their dreams if given love, care, and a quality education.
